Steve is a renowned expert in the legal marijuana sector and whose analysis is featured prominently in outlets like Forbes, Wall Street Journal, CBS News, US News and World Report, Chicago Tribune, and Marketwatch. Steve presently serves as COO of Silverback Investments, Inc. Silverback Investments, Inc., is a management services company providing business solutions to licensed lawfully operating medical marijuana cultivation and distributions businesses. Silverback is focused on the Michigan market. Likewise, he presently serves as Alta Via Ventures, LLC a management services company to licensed cannabis businesses in the Los Angeles, California operator. From 2012 to 2016, Steve served as Chief Business Development Officer and member of the Board of Directors for OSL Holdings, a publicly traded management services in the cannabis industry. Steve has operated a hydroponics retail gardening supply enterprise in Los Angeles as well as licensed cultivation facilities in California.
Steve Gormley has nearly twenty years’ experience developing, branding, marketing, launching, managing and operating businesses in the US and international markets. Steve has over seven years experience in the cannabis industry. He has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, South America and Australia. Steve got his start in media in television production in the early 90s. After developing content and producing for MTV, Paramount Pictures, Tribune and others, Steve leveraged his expertise in content into the on-line sector for a new media private equity fund in the late 90’s and early part of the new century. Steve helped develop, launch, manage and sell a number of new media properties and eventually founded a branded entertainment company in China. Steve has also served as managing director for a California based media private equity fund. He deployed C-Level Management Services specializing in startups and turn-arounds.
Founder and President of JuJu Royal
Mr. Travis Belcher is the President of JuJu Royal and a director of the Company. Mr. Belcher was a Managing Member, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DropLeaf since its inception in 2014. Mr. Belcher oversees the day-to-day operations, nationally and internationally. His daily tasks include but aren’t limited to, Product/ Brand Development, Packaging, Fulfilment, Quality Control, and Celebrity Endorsements Management. Between 1999 and 2014, Mr. Belcher owned and operated Madison Avenue Café, a family business established in 1992 with fifteen retail locations and direct wholesale customers throughout the Midwest states. At Madison he was directly responsible for the procurement of raw coffee beans from various regions around the world, as well as securing state and government contracts, and management of all retail locations. Mr. Belcher sold this business in 2014. In addition to his experience in the Cannabis and Coffee industry, Mr. Belcher has extensive experience in the entertainment and nightlife industry. The relationships that were built and maintained throughout the entertainment business have enabled DropLeaf to create the Julian Marley Brand.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Mark Scott is the Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Scott was appointed Consulting Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of DropLeaf on June 1, 2017, and has been a consultant to DropLeaf since December 1, 2016. Mr. Scott is the proposed Chief Financial Officer for the Company. He has significant financial, capital market and relations experience in public and private microcap companies. Mr. Scott is a certified public accountant and received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Washington.
Director and Secretary
Mr. Reeves is Secretary and a director of the Company. Mr. Reeves is a partner with TingleMerrett LLP, a Calgary based law firm with a focus on securities, corporate finance and commercial transactions for emerging and growth companies, joint ventures and partnerships. He has advised numerous private and public corporations (including registered dealers) in a wide range of business matters including access to capital markets, corporate governance and operational issues both nationally and internationally
Mr. Ruggieri is an Independent Director of the Company and was the President, CEO and a director of the Company prior to the Transaction. Mr. Ruggieri is a professional engineer, executive and financier based in Calgary, Alberta. He was founder, CEO and Director of two engineering firms, President and Director of a home building company as well as a real estate manager before moving into his current role. Mr. Ruggieri is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). Furthermore, he has served on Technical, Investigative and Audit Committees. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal and an MBA from the University of Calgary
Chairman and Director
Mr. Pomroy is an experienced legal cannabis investor with deep domain knowledge and focus on technology, manufacturing, cultivation and retail. He has over twenty years’ experience with private equity, growth and venture capital companies including Credit Suisse/DLJ Merchant Banking. Prior to his experience on Wall Street, Mr. Pomroy was a managing director for 15 years as a Strategy and Operations consultant at Mercer Management Consulting/Oliver Wyman. Mr. Pomroy holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
Chief Marketing Officer
Ms. Jesse Meighan is a seasoned executive with over 10 years’ operations and marketing experience. She has worked across a broad range of industries from tech to fashion and most recently co-founded the female-focused cannabis brand Jane West, where she now serves as a board advisor. As Chief Operating Officer of Jane West (2015 – 2019), Meighan crafted the brand’s experience and execution creating well-designed cannabis products with a modern sensibility while focusing on continuous improvement, optimization, and growth. As a result, Jane West (the eponymous lifestyle brand built by Meighan and the founder/CEO of Women Grow) is now among the most widely recognized cannabis brands for women. In addition, Meighan is well-known in the cannabis industry as a digital influencer and champion of women professionals.
Mr. Bryce Berryessa is President of La Vida Verde, Inc., a highly respected branded cannabis product manufacturer and distributor in which the Company holds a 51% interest. He is a renowned expert in sustainable cannabis cultivation, extraction methods, retail operations, and cannabis product development. Mr. Berryessa has been at the forefront of the medical cannabis movement since 2005. Berryessa is also the CEO, visionary, and Co-founder of TreeHouse, an award winning and cutting edge cannabis club located in Santa Cruz County, California. Mr. Berryessa was also the co-founder and operations manager for California’s first-ever Enviroganic-certified farm. Enviroganic approval means that all standards from state and local environmental compliance and organic management practices are being met. Mr. Berryessa resides in Santa Cruz with his wife and two young sons and sits on numerous statewide committees: Board of Directors of the Association for Standardized Cannabis (ASC); Policy Committee of California Growers Association (CGA); Manufacturing Committee Member and Board Member for the California Cannabis Industry Association (CCIA); Founding Board Member of California Cannabis Manufacturers Association (CCMA).
Vice President of Sales (Southern California)
Ms. Bethany Stiles has a decade of sales management experience having successfully launched major brands, such as dosist, Foria, and Rebel Coast in California. She is also founder of Fengari Solutions, a consulting company, which focuses on sales strategy, brand development and investor relations for cannabis companies.
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Alison Bryce is a cannabis industry veteran, and has consulted on content strategy, marketing and events with some of the leading cannabis and health and wellness startups in California. Previously, she led Northside Media Group’s events and content strategy in Brooklyn, New York. Alison also was a producer on the National Desk at NPR in Washington, DC, for five years.
Vice President of Sales (Northern California)
Mr. Corey Kite is a cannabis industry veteran with over 15 years of sales management experience. After building and running sales teams in the telecom industry, he went on to own and operate six cannabis farms and has vast knowledge of indoor, greenhouse, and outdoor cultivation. As an established cultivator, Kite has built an unparalleled network throughout Northern California. By combining these unique skillsets, Corey helped establish 10+ large-scale cannabis cultivators, consulting on all aspects of the business from build-out to sales strategy.
